This spacious rural property in Sonoma was completely reimagined with a renovated main house and the addition of a pool, pool house and outdoor entertaining area.
Sonoma, CA
This single family residence was remodeled from top to bottom, reimagined as a compound for family and friends to relax indoors and out, lounge poolside or tend to the hobby vineyard. Visitors approach the property through new landscaping and enter the great room at a 12' wide glass door with views straight through the home to the rear yard and pool. A new clerestory window showers the shared kitchen living space in natural light and adds height to the otherwise low, flat architecture of the existing home. A 12' island anchors the kitchen. The rec room was converted to a master suite with sliding glass doors leading out to the new pool and glass steam shower with views to the vineyard.
This single family residence in the rural hills of Sonoma was increased by nearly 1,000 sq. ft. to accommodate an additional bedroom, 1.5 baths, an office, media room, and separate guest suite. The home was taken down to the studs and completely refinished inside and out to better suit the growing family’s lifestyle.
This unique property, situated across from a preserved open space, was completely reimagined with a new second floor primary suite to take advantage of the serene views.

This historic penthouse was reconfigured to create a shared kitchen and living space and to add a master bedroom with ensuite. The two existing bedrooms are connected with a new jack & jill bathroom. The existing spiral staircase is now a framed focal point, leading up to a reimagined roof deck. Custom kitchen cabinets anchor the Wolf and Sub Zero appliances. The original red oak floors were uncovered and refinished throughout the unit and new door trims and baseboards were added in the classic style of the building. The original window shutters were restored throughout, closing for complete darkness or opening to reveal stunning views of the San Francisco skyline.
The kitchen remodel in this Bernal Heights bungalow draws inspiration from the thoughtful upgrades the owners had already made to the home. Paneled appliances seamlessly blend into the space, reducing visual clutter, while the wood detail on the range hood draws the eye upward to the skylight, which fills the center of the home with natural light.

This 2,600 square foot penthouse in San Francisco was completely remodeled with the creation of two additional bedrooms and the addition of a half bath and laundry room. A warm, neutral palette focusing on sheen and texture is carried throughout the home. The real star of the show is the unobstructed view of the entire San Francisco peninsula.
This one bedroom apartment was reimagined as a two bedroom unit, using space-saving design decisions to make the most of the small footprint. The shared kitchen and living space was moved to the front of the unit to take advantage of natural light from the bay window. The kitchen features a floating quartz peninsula held by a custom-fabricated steel frame. This provides additional counter space without sacrificing the open feel of the space. Instead of traditional closets in the bedrooms I used custom millwork to save space. Compact European appliances and a stackable washer dryer provide modern conveniences without overwhelming the space.
This studio apartment was reconfigured to create a semi-private sleeping nook. Compact, european appliances provide efficient storage space in the kitchen. Wall-washing LED’s graze the exposed concrete walls. Custom cabinets under the living room window provide a seat as well as additional storage. The existing oak strip floor was refinished in a lighter stain.
The floorpan of this 2 bedroom apartment was reconfigured to create a unified kitchen and living space that takes advantage of natural light from the bay window. Steel structural supports, uncovered during demo, became the anchor for an acrylic bar. The brick wall, also uncovered during demo, became a focal point of the living area. Wall-washing LED lights graze the rough texture of the brick. Custom cabinets were installed in bedrooms in lieu of traditional closets to save space.
The redwood partitions were built to separate the ground level dwellings from the rear yard which is accessible to other tenants in this multi-family building. The folding gate can be left open for a view of the rear yard or closed and locked for privacy.
The homeowners of this bungalow needed more space for their growing family. The 500 square foot addition includes a generous primary suite with a large walk-in closet, an additional storage closet and expands one of the existing bedrooms.
